About the Breeder

My name is Brook Palmer, I am an animal lover, and entrepreneur. I grew up in the Pacific Northwest where I was always intrigued by nature. My love for animals came naturally as both my mother and grandmother are animal lovers and would take me to experience animals wherever there was an opportunity. I grew up with cats, chickens, dogs, turtles, toads, frogs, salamanders, snakes, horses ... pretty much anything my parents would put up with! I was homeschooled the latter half of my school years, and that is when my dream of entrepreneurship began. Because of my love of animals I wanted my business to involve animal husbandry in some way. In 2022 I was introduced to my mentor, Veronica Porter, owner and operator of Doodle Paw Ranch. After meeting with Veronica and seeing her dogs, her business setup and the joy surrounding a life filled with puppies, I decided THAT was what I wanted to do. In 2023 I got my first dog that was just my own, a Standard Poodle named Bindi. With learning under Veronica, I was taught the ins and outs of ethical breeding. I knew that if I was going to do this, I was going to do it right. So I spent the next couple years getting everything in order with my female, Bindi. After genetics testing and OFA health tests and going through the process of finding an eligible and healthy stud dog with a great personality to father the puppies, I finally started my breeding program.
