Ruger

Ruger is a male, chocolate brown Standard Poodle. His birthday is April 11, 2021. Like our female, Bindi, Ruger's chocolate coat has also been highlighted by silver tones as he's aged. Ruger is a big boy weighing about 60 lbs.

Ruger lives off site of SLCW,  but we are proud to have him in our program. He is a gentle giant with an intimidating presence towards strangers, but a sweet nature to those his family introduces him to. Ruger does great with other animals, getting on spectacularly with Bindi his mate, and giving much respect to his feline housemate. He has a super sweet, silly, and loving personality, always enjoying any attention he can soak up. His favorite activity is to snuggle, wrestle, and play with his ball all at the same time. He has desires to be a guard dog, but it doesn't always come naturally to him. Though he has discovered that when coyotes howl he doesn't have to run and hide, but can bark back in return. Ha!
